How would you like to learn to ID plants positively without having to rely on pictures?
By learning Basic Botany and using a reliable Field Guide Book, you will be able to go out on herb walks or in your backyard and figure out what exactly is growing by using leaf, flower, plant type keys.
We will work on plant id terms, plant families, parts of a flower, leaf descriptions including flower dissections.Â
Then we will walk the pastures and the woods to key out plants. There are 24 acres to explore with a variety of terrain. Much of this class will be outside.
Class includes lunch.
