Everyone has that absolutely favorite holiday recipe that gets devoured right away! You know the one...it gets all the ooohs and ahhhs.
The one I have to make every Thanksgiving, even if only 2 people are here, is the Sweet Potato "Cake". It is not really a cake but when my son was little, he named it sweet potato cake and let's face it kids will eat cake over casserole, am I right? lol.
So this recipe takes a bit to make. You can follow the recipe exact OR add your special touch, maybe a few pecans in the topping or some pineapple mixed in the casserole.
