Beginner Botany & Field Study -CLASS IS FULL

How would you like to learn to ID plants positively without having to rely on pictures?

 By learning Basic Botany and using a reliable Field Guide Book, you will be able to go out on herb walks or in your backyard and figure out what exactly is growing by using leaf, flower, plant type keys. Required book**Purchase on Amazon or borrow –  Newcomb's Wildflower Guide 

We will work on plant id terms, plant families, parts of a flower, leaf descriptions and then go out walking the pastures and the woods to key out plants. By the end of the 2 days, you should have a good handle on how to identify plants and not use an app! 

Make a wild soda, leaf rubbings and drawing.

This class will be outside and in the barn pavillon and if needed inside.

CLASS TIME - 9:00am - 3:00pm each day
